Established in 1996, we, Mark Industries have revolutionized writing stationery to find its way into one of the largest writing instrument manufacturers of Pakistan. Besides being a household brand in Pakistan, our products are exported to almost every continent in the world.
Mark Industries, with its state-of-the-art manufacturing units, pioneered in the manufacturing of Ink Correctors and Highlighter Flat in Pakistan. Since then, every passing day has been a success story for Mark Industries. Our quality centric and customer driven approach has lead us to drive the market in many arenas.
Mark Industries produces Fiber Tip (Felt-tip) pens, Ink Correctors, Fine Liners, Ballpoint pens, Gel Pens, White-board Markers, Permanent Markers, Highlighters, Geometry Boxes, Lead Pencil, Colored Pencils and Sharpeners in its two vicinities in Islamabad, Pakistan. In addition to our head office in Islamabad, we also have an international office in Dubai, U.A.E.
How we started?
Mark Industries collaborated with a well-known German manufacturer, Schneider, to start its operations in Pakistan. Everything, from plant and machinery to raw materials were imported from Schneider in early 1996 which lead to the inception of Mark Industries in Pakistan.
First Product Launched?
With the help of German molds, machinery, assembly lines and raw materials, Mark Industries launched its first product Schneider Topball 8000 in 1996 in Pakistan. Since then, Mark Industries haven’t compromised in its entire supply chain be it molding machines, assembly lines or raw materials. Since quality is our motto, our raw materials are purchased from countries like Germany, Switzerland and Japan.
Mark Industries, since its first launch in 1996, has expanded into all arenas of Writing Instruments from Ball Points to Text Markers, Lead Pencils to Ink Correctors keeping quality constant to meet demands from its consumers globally.
The Pencil Unit?
After many years of research and development, Mark Industries, in the year 2009, opened up a new division, Mark Unistar, for the production of Graphite and Colored Lead Pencils. Mark Unistar has since then matched the market trends to grow as one of the largest in black and color lead market. Its customer-driven focus has not only earned it a spot locally, but has leaded it to expand in the overseas market too.

Environmental Policy
Mark Industries, from raw materials till the final product, makes sure that all the processes are free from hazardous materials and are absolutely safe for the environment. All ingredients, paints, dyes, varnishes are non-toxic in nature and are absolutely “Halal”. For pencils, both graphite and color lead, the compliance with safety measures EN 71-3 are met. Also, the wood used for lead pencils is not rain forest wood, which ensures that all our production is safe for the environment.
TDD – Technology Development Division
Mark Industries believe in vertical integration i.e. becoming our own suppliers. This in turn helps us to reduce cost, cut lead time and focus more on quality. This department is responsible for making tools, dies, jigs, cavities, molds etc.
Chemical Division
Vertical Integration in regards to inks and glues (for making wooden sandwich for lead pencils) has helped us being more competitive in the market while keeping an eye on providing the best quality to our consumers.
Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing Division
It is pivotal for us to market what we produce. Quality is in everything that we do! Our team, consisting of skilled personnel from diverse backgrounds in these divisions has helped us achieve the stature we hold today.

Anti-Smoking Program
To prevent health hazards, Mark Industries has prohibited smoking on all premises during work hours. Seminars on Smoking Hazards have been an integral part of Mark Industries and it is mandatory on every employee to attend these seminars.

Regular drills for fire and disaster evacuation are conducted at Mark Industries. Since, we are an Industrial unit; we aim to maintain an accident-free record for injuries and provide safety measures for all employees in our manufacturing operations.
